Raquel Lacuesta Contreras
Degree in Geography and History (1973) and in Educational Sciences (1986), and PhD in Art History (1998) by the Universitat de Barcelona. Former chief of Thecnical Section of Research, Cataloguing and Promotion of the Local Architectural Heritage Service (Diputació de Barcelona), which is dedicated to monumental restoration. Cultural Heritage National Award 1997 (Government of Catalonia). Academic of the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi (2013). Writer or Director of many Architectural Heritage Protection Catalogues of several townships of Barcelona’s region. She’s author or co-author of La restauració monumental a Catalunya (segles XIX i XX). Les aportacions de la Diputació de Barcelona (2000); Barcelona Architecture Guide 1929-2002 (2002); Modernisme a l’entorn de Barcelona (2006); Ponts de la província de Barcelona (2008); Ignasi Oms i Ponsa, arquitecte (2009); Catedrals del Vi (2009); El modernisme perdut. La Barcelona antiga ( 2013) and La Barcelona de l’Eixample (2014); La història de l’art –de l’arquitectura– català explicada per arquitectes (2014). She has been curator of several exhibitions about restored monuments and architects (Cèsar Martinell Brunet, Antoni Gaudí or Rafael Masó), and has been professor in prostgraduate studies and másters degrees in heritage intervention and modern and contemporary architecture history
